SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS

African-American Shakespeare Company’s School Partnership Program brings the arts and creative expression to your students; and in-turn, your participation will provide our organization with invaluable feedback to shaping and building our educational programs.

There is no cost for you or your school to participate. Our commitment to build greater connections to the arts and deepen the impact and engagement of youths by connecting them to experiences throughout their development is our goal. You do not have to participate in all programs, but you will have access to our lineup of access and events that are designed to be a benefit to you and your students.

As a partner program you are eligible to receive the following benefits:

  • Free invitation and access to our online and in-person school matinee performances

  • Classroom visits from our teaching artists and actors

  • 4-week residency program with our teaching artists

  • Access to scholarship for Summer and Spring camps for your students

  • Free Teacher’s Night Out access for partner schools administrators and educators

  • Bi-monthly performing arts education newsletter

Who is eligible:

While our target focus remains to be schools that meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Public/Charter Schools

  • Located in the United States

  • Low Income or Underserved populations

  • More than 51% of the student body participates in Federal Lunch Programs

  • Student body/classroom with diverse populations

This program is designed to be simple and straightforward. It provides mutual benefits and access, requiring minimal staff time and seeks to maximize existing resources which allows for greater flexibility. There are no fees to participate just an opportunity to actively engage with our organization for your students and classroom.

How do you participate: Register below to receive access for your school. Our Director of Education will follow-up within a couple of weeks to gather more information about your needs and the student body.
