F.A.Q.

What is general seating?

General seating means general admission / open seating. You choose where you want to sit when you arrive at the venue for the performance. It’s first come, first served with subscribers, wheelchair users, and those who need special accommodations receiving first choice when they arrive at the venue at least 40 minutes before curtain. For everyone else, doors opens 30 minutes before curtain.

How do I purchase wheelchair seating?

Please call our office 415.762.2071 ext. 6 to purchase wheelchair seating. On the day of the performance, we ask that wheelchair users and those who need special accommodations to arrive at the venue at least 40 minutes before curtain and let the House Manager know you need wheelchair seating in which they will assist guests in the appropriate seats.

Can I go to your office on Fulton Street to purchase tickets?

We do not handle any in-person ticket orders at our office. You must purchase tickets through our box office Brown Paper Tickets / City Box Office or at the performance venue box office starting 60 minutes prior to the show for same-day performance tickets.

When is the latest I can purchase tickets?

We strongly recommend everyone to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to guarantee they have a ticket. Advanced ticket sales end 4 hours prior to performance. If you missed advanced ticket sales, we recommend coming to the venue box office 60 minutes before curtain to purchase your tickets for that performance.

Do you accept credit card payments when I purchase tickets at the performance venue starting 60 minutes prior to the show?

Yes we do. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express are acceptable forms of payment along with checks and cash.

Can I reserve tickets (without making a purchase)?

No, we do not put tickets on hold/reserved with a payment at a later date. Only purchases can be made because that is a guarantee of commitment to show.

Can children attend performances?

We always love to have future theatre patrons join us. We tell parents that we have a recommended minimum age for each production. However, you know your child best — given their age and ability to sit through a performance. If you have young children or infants, we suggest sitting close to the aisle so you may have an easy access to handle any needs your children might have during the performance.

Do I have to purchase a ticket for my child?

Our rule is that a seat does not need to be purchased for a child if they are seated on the lap of an adult. If your child takes a seat, that seat must be paid.

When do the doors and the box office at the venue open?

The box office at the venue opens 60 minutes prior the performance. And doors to the theater open 30 minutes before.

How can I purchase tickets to a sold-out show?

If an event is sold-out (no tickets are available for purchase online), we will create a waiting list. To get on the waiting list, the potential patron must come in person to the venue 60 minutes prior to curtain to place their name on the waiting list. Box Office staff will record the name of the individual with how many tickets they are seeking to purchase.

Placing your name on the waiting list does not guarantee entry or the opportunity to purchase a ticket. Our box office staff will take the available tickets for re-sale and match them with the number of tickets needed from each person on the waiting list starting in sequential order.
